After a tree is cut down, the property owner is often left to deal with the stump that is left behind. This is where we come in. Our experienced tree stump technicians use a process called “stump grinding” to extract the stump left behind by the arborist. We use a high-tech, self-propelled grinder which practically “chews up” the stump and shreds it into small wood chips. The stump is ground down to 6 – 8 inches below ground. The wood chips left behind can be used to fill in the hole where the stump used to be, which in time will slowly decompose and help fertilize the ground. Stump grinding is the fastest and the most efficient way of removing tree stumps. It’s also an environmentally friendly way as no chemicals or burning agents are used during this process.
